Why Politeness May Hold You Back

Most businesses want to receive quality products and services, but your average customer fears asking questions because they do not want to be seen as a bad customer. However, when you find something that seems excessive or off on your copier contract, you would be wise to bring up the issue before you sign the contract. Here are some of the common things that you will hear a copier company tell customers when issues arise.

They might tell you that it is unusual for their customers and ask to fix it for you. If they say this, ask for a discount for having to correct the mistake. They might also tell you, “Let me look into it.” Should they bother to call back, ask for a discount like stated above. In many cases, however, they will not bother calling back. That’s a red flag and often indicates a failed scam.

If something makes you uncomfortable, you do not need to be polite. Copier companies of integrity will help to make you feel at ease and work for your business. Saying nothing can cost you money with the scam artists! While it is a wonderful thing to have manners—we love customers with great manners—do not be so polite that you will be the one being ripped off. Make the company prove that they have good intentions before you sign a contract with them.
