Do You Have a Stripe on Your Copies?

How to Avoid Calling a Technician:

One of the most common service requests we hear is from clients who have a vertical line going down their page when they make copies.  Before calling that expensive copier tech in Richmond, here are a few helpful tips to try first.

If you look at the picture on the right, you will see there are two pieces of glass.  If you want to see if you have a scanner issue or a print engine issue, try making a copy using the document feeder and then lay the same document on the large glass and see if you get the same problem.  If you do, it is most likely a drum issue.  If you do not the scanner is either faulty or dirty.

The easiest thing you can do is to get glass cleaner and a soft rag (that wont scratch the glass) and clean the two pieces of glass… if the problem goes away…  you’re welcome, you just saved $100 or more.  If it persists, you may need a copier technician.

Give us a call if you would like a quote on a new copier in Richmond.
